WebJun 3, 2024 · Recently got a new bass, only thing it needs is to lower the nut, I need to lower it about a millimeter or two. It's a urea resin nut. I have experience filing down plastic nuts with strings, but the urea nut is too hard for the string. Anyone have experience with using the string + sandpaper. I'm thinking 400-600 grit would work?
