I started with a BCM 20" complete upper and then I found a bcm complete lower. I was originally going for an m16A2 build but again the a2 stock was too long for me. WebOct 4, 2005 · If you're going to install an A1 stock on a rifle with a fixed stock make sure you have the shorter A1 upper screw (Fulton Armory carries these - or you can cut an A2 screw down by 5/8", and don't forget the Loctite) +1. The buffer tube is the same for both stocks. A1 uses no spacer and a shorter screw, A2 uses the spacer and longer screw.
